I am so sorry that your beautiful (I can say this as our daughters are beautiful) and bright Catherine died. Thank you for letting us know a little bit about her. Prayers for you and all who love her.
I have not jumped to rage or in most cases, even anger as I am surprised but not shocked by most of what the powers in DC are doing. I jump to rage when it affects children who are already the consistently largest group living in poverty. I hope someday I can entertain forgiveness.
Thank you, Ann. I hear you. When it comes to the powers in DC and their abuse of our most vulnerable, I stand in that uncomfortable space between outrage and rage. To preserve my sanity and serenity, I write. Other than prayer, it's the only positive action I can come up with. I appreciate your kind note.
P.S. And, I'm having a difficult time sincerely praying about forgiving them. Right now I just want to be angry and I want to tell them so. But instead, I avoid them.
Hi Kathleen- Boy, ain't it the truth. I'm trying to take my relationships on a case-by-case basis. In most cases, I'm choosing the friendship over the controversy, so we just don't discuss this. It's a tough call. Thanks for writing!
Thank you, Rachel. I too am having a hard time loving and forgiving friends, neighbors, family members. We've got to stick together and hold each other up.💜
